Career & Professional Development and our awesome Peer Advisors are fully equipped to serve you in-person at the brand new Burwell Center for Career Achievement and virtually this Spring Quarter!

Whether you want help with resumes & cover letters, searching for a job or internship in Denver or beyond, want a practice interview or interview coaching, and much more our Peer Advisors are ready to help!

In-Person Drop-In Hours
We are offering in-person drop-ins at the Burwell Center! Get 15-minute tips on your resume and/or cover letter, job/internship search or find out about upcoming events. Open to all students. Peer Advisors are extensively trained by professional staff and are ready to take your questions! No appointment necessary.

Monday
– 8 AM – 10 AM & 2:30 PM – 4:15 PM
Tuesday – 10 AM – 1 PM
Wednesday – 11 AM – 3:30 PM

Career Peer Advisors are an essential part of Career & Professional Development and serve as a key link in supporting DU students achieve their career goals. Additionally, Career Peer Advisors help educate the campus about the necessary skills and resources to engage in self-exploration, career planning and the job and internship search process.

Career & Professional Development is ramping up its Peer Advisor Program to hire both undergraduate and graduate students to support our diverse campus population. Beginning in the fall quarter of the 2021-22 academic year, we are implementing a drop-in advising model, where advising is provided all day, every day in the open, common area of our new Burwell Center for Career Achievement. All day, every day is defined as normal business hours (Monday- Friday, 9 am- 5 pm). It is run by students, for students and we want you to be a part of this exciting initiative.

If you are interested in applying, please apply here by Friday, May 7th. Please note applicants must be in the Denver area when this student employment opportunity begins in the academic year 2021-2022. This position is an on-campus position.
